WHERE ARE YOU..?

THERE was a boy who doesn’t love any kind of coffee but love any kind of juices. He told everybody that he’ll never take a sip of coffee until the rest of his life.

          But, one day it suddenly changed. For a first time, how amazing it is when the boy hold a cup of white coffee in his hand. While closing his eyes, carefully he tastes the white coffee. And, as he thought, he totally hates the flavor and smell! Still, he tries his best to finish it while his throat just want to throw up! He drinks the coffee until the last drop and as a fast as lighting he put his right hand up and yell, “Waitress!”

          A girl who just walks near him suddenly turn around with a beautiful smile on her face. She slowly walks to the boy’s table and politely asks, “Can I help you sir?”

          “Yes!” The boy answers confidently. He shows his empty cup and say, “I want another more.”

          The girl smiles happily while her and takes the cup from the boy. “Please wait for a while and I’ll bring you new one.”

          The boy smile a lil bit then nod. “Thank you.”

          “It’s my pleasure.” Then, while her smiling, the girl walk away from the table to the kitchen in order to bring the new cup of coffee to the boy.

          The boy staring at the girl until he lost her vision. He can’t stop himself from smiling because he is so happy. Yes! He’s so happy! He doesn’t care if has to drink a tank of coffee. He doesn’t bother if got stomachache every morning. He can ignore the smells, and taste of the coffee for the rest of his life if…..if he only he can see the girls smile everyday…

          This is the reason why the boy comes to ‘Coffee Lovers Café’ everyday. He just wants to sit there for about 3 hours a day just want to see the girl. He just wants see her warm smile. He just wants to talk with the girl even their conversation just about taking order. He just needs to hear her voices.

          Everyday, the boy sits at the same place which is at the corner. The place is just perfect for him because it’s kind of hidden from other customers and can watch the girl from far away. Every time when he entered to the café, he pull his energy and with enthusiasm want to conveys his feelings towards the girl. And, every time the girl comes to take his orders, his mouth just shut. The only words that come out from his mouth is, “Like always please.” Then the girl will say back to him, “Alright sir. Please wait for a moment until I bring your order.” He nods, the girls smiles then leave. After that, he finally realizes the stupidest mistake he made and sigh…

          Until one day, while the boy struggles to finish his white coffee, a shocking scene just make his eyes wide open. He sees one man just walk directly to the girl. And the girl jumps happily and they both hug each other. At that time, the boy’s feelings just crashed. His heart just broken heavily. No words comes from his mouth. And his eyes just can take off from watching the girl and the man hugging excitedly. Worse is when the man release his arm and looks directly to the girl. Slowly, the man kiss the girl forehead. The boy can’t watch it anymore instantly he leaves his money on the table and run out from the café.

          He walks as fast as he can while his heart hurt so badly. His tears…his tears just keep coming. Even he tries so hard, the tears can never stop. He walks, walks and walks. Not even look right or left while crossing the street. Not even glance at the traffic light whether it’s red, yellow or green. All he can thinks is how come he be so stupid? Stupid enough to make his heart feel the hardest pain in his life. All the stupid things he has done just to be near around the girl makes himself angrier. He feel stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Until….

          Boooom!!!!!!

          For a second, he feels dark surround him. He tries to open his eyes slowly. He can move. His head hurt so as his back and leg. After a while, he can hear voices. A woman yelling, “Call the ambulance! Ambulance! Call the ambulance! Now!!!!!”

          People keeps screaming and asking him.

“Are you okey? Boy?”

“Hey, kid. Can you hear me? Say something kid!”

“Say something. Kid…answer me!”

He just feels pain and dizzy. He tries to speak but it’s hard to open his mouth. He tries to stand, but, his body just can’t let him. He doesn’t know what happen. His eyes keeps closing while he tries to catch a breathe. Suddenly, what he knows is his eyes already closed and his heart just stop…

IT’S been a few days she’s waiting at the café. While clock keeps ticking, still she can’t sees the boy. She sighs…

          “Maya, what’s wrong?”

          Maya turn around and smile while she sees the man she loves. “Nothing!”

          The man stands in front of her and looks directly into her eyes. “Don’t lie to your brother! I know when you’re lying! Now, tell me the truth my little pumpkin.” He smiles.

          Maya just chuckles. “I’ll tell you later. At home., can you please entertain the customers? I have someone to wait for.”

          “Aha…boyfriend?”

          “Not a boyfriend if I don’t know his name!”

          “Then, ask.”

          Maya stares at her brother. “You think I have to ask?”

          “Of course. It seems that you like this boy. Just ask his name, and then let see what happen.”

          Maya nods and happily hugs his brother. “ I love you!”

          “Me too…” The man replies. “But, it seems I have to work even though I’m the boss here!”

          Maya just laughs while releasing his brother from her arms. “That’s make me love you more!”

          “Ahaa…” The man leaves Maya alone while going to a new customer who just take a place in the café.

          Maya smiles while waiting for the boy. She looks at the corner. The place where the boy always sit. She intentionally let the place empty because she knows the boy will want to sit there. Everyday, she keeps waiting for the boy to come. Everyday, she asks other café crews to let her entertain the boy. She just want to speak the boy. She just want to see the boy closely. She hopes they both can have a much longer conversation rather than talking about orders. But, she just too afraid too ask. And today, when her big brother encourages her to ask that boy’s name, she sees a hope! And, she totally into it!

          She sits at the counter and brings out her sketch book from the drawer. She looks inside the book and smiles. There are so many sketches of the boy. While the boy drinking his white coffee, while his looking around the café, while his reading, while he put his arm around him and many different actions. He always watching that boy from far.

          Maya looks at the clock and her day just become cloudy. The boy supposed to come 2 hours ago. She keeps asking herself,

‘Where are you…?’
